Aquajoy Pond FAQ
5/8/2012 10:31:52 AM
Below you will find a number of the more frequently asked questions (FAQ) about ponds

Q. Our pond is leaking - what can be done?
A. This would be investigated by one of our engineers who would assess the situation and give the best solution
to resolve your problem.

Q. Can we book a one off appointment or do you only do contract work?
A. Aquajoy are always happy to be of service whether this be contract, private or a one off appointment.

Q. When you clean a pond, what happens to our fish?
A. When pond cleaning we drain as much good quality water as possible into a temporary tank. Whilst the water is draining, the fish are caught using specialist Koi socks/ nets and are then transferred to our temporary tank by highly experienced engineers who always take the greatest of care.

Q. How often should I feed my fish?
A. You should feed your fish only how much they will eat in the first 2-3 minutes of putting food in the pond, any waste food should be removed from the pond.

Q. Do I feed my fish in winter?
A. You should not feed your fish too much, if they are still feeding make sure to use a suitable winter feed.

Q. Blanket weed. Best way to get rid of it?
A. We use a couple of different products. This can vary greatly.

Q. How often should I clean my pond out?
A. It can depend on the type of pond and whether it is maintained regularly, we suggest a pond clean every 2/3 years.

Natural Ponds
5/4/2012 8:35:53 AM
Aquajoy build, maintain and refurbish natural ponds to lakes.

Natural ponds vary from man made natural looking ponds with liners be it a butyl rubber liner or a concrete shell to the more natural clay puddled lining most existing natural ponds have been man made in some way at some time but  a natural pond in the garden is still the look that many of our clients wish to acheive, from a large natural pond or farm pond as shown in the picture below to

A new twist on a natural pond such as a smaller version of the swimming ponds or natural swimming pools as you can see below you can acheive a very natural look whilst giving the pond a very modern twist. All natural ponds are built around a principle of plants to water ration and are built using various levels or zones including beaches or marginal planting zones of various depths suitable for diffrent plants to deep zones suitable for lillys etc

Aquajoy Water Gradens Ltd can basically build  a natural pond or water feature to suit any requirements from very large fetures to the smallest garden pond or the wildest of garden ponds.
